Since its launch in 1947, the FISITA World Automotive Congress has brought the world's engineers together in a spirit of co-operation to create efficient, affordable, safe and sustainable mobility.
FISITA 2008 will feature presentations from leading engineers, scientists and specialists concerned with every aspect of the research, design, development and production of vehicles and their systems. Together they will explore the future direction for the global industry in key areas including powertrains, alternative fuels, vehicle dynamics, safety systems, electronics, manufacturing and Intelligent Transportation Systems.
Join us in Munich in September 2008 and help shape the future of automobiles and mobility.
Welcom
FISITA 2008 will focus on sustainable mobility solutions for humans and goods in all areas of passenger car, truck and bus transportation, integrated in total mobility concepts. practical co-operation among the automotive engineering societies in different
countries
Support
the continuing professional development of automotive engineers
Encourage
the education and training of students and young engineers
Communicate the positive contribution automotive engineers to society
VDI
The Association of German Engineers (VDI) is a financially independent and politically unaffiliated, non-profit organisation of more than 128,000 engineers and natural scientists. More than 12,000 of these members work for the VDI in an honorary capacity.
Established in 1856, the VDI is today the largest engineering association in Western Europe. In Germany, it is recognised as the representative of engineers both within the profession and in the public arena. As the leading institution for training and technology transfer among experts, it is also a partner at the preliminary stages of the decision-making process in matters of technological policy and for all questions that engineers face in their professional or public lives.
VDI-FVT
The VDI-Society for Automotive and Traffic Systems Technology (VDI-FVT) is recognised as an accepted facilitator and a professional, independent contact for everybody in the automotive and traffic systems industry. The society is working in the fields of traffic system technologies, road vehicles, railroad technologies, automotive components and methodologies. Single solutions are supported as well as branch specific approaches or comprehensive concepts. The VDI-FVT is committed to intelligent, responsibly used technologies, creating innovative solutions for a sustainable mobility.
Proceedings
